As a Computer Science student and web developer, I built this platform with a dual purpose: to showcase the extraordinary talent of Afghan artisans and to use technology as a bridge to the international market. Every piece you see here is a tribute to the intricate techniques of beadwork (مهرهدوزی), embroidery, and fine hand-tailoring that have been passed down through generations.

Through Silk Road Fiery, we are digitizing this traditional artistry, ensuring that these talented women have a sustainable income and a platform to be seen, valued, and empowered on the global stage.

Why This Matters

My mission is deeply personal. Having experienced the restrictions placed on education while I was in Afghanistan, I spent my own time teaching English to women and girls and at the same time practicing the art of مهرهدوزی myself.

I know firsthand how these crafts serve as a lifeline for mental well-being and resilience. I saw how, when the world feels like it is closing doors, these crafts allow women to keep their minds active, their creativity flowing, and their hope alive.
